Five Haverhill Bank staff were promoted to leadership positions during the institution’s annual meeting in November.
Amy Barcelos becomes senior vice president, retail branch administrator, while Evan Cline moves up to senior vice president & controller; Elizabeth “Liz” Cronin, senior vice president, compliance & BSA; Kelly C. Quevillon, senior vice president of operations; and Nadine M. White, assistant vice president, branch manager.
Haverhill Bank Chairman and CEO Thomas L. Mortimer and President & Chief Operating Officer Gregory Shaw said the promotions demonstrate the bank’s commitment to its depositors and borrowers. Mortimer said, “The breadth of experience represented by the senior executives bodes well for the bank that has remained locally depositor-owned and Haverhill-based for nearly 150 years.” Shaw added, “These are recognizable and trusted faces in the community, demonstrating important continuity of operations.”
Barcelos, of Hampstead NH, joined Haverhill Bank in July of 2023 as vice president, retail operations manager, and became vice president, retail branch administrator in April of 2024. With nearly 20 years of banking experience, she previously held positions with Pentucket Bank, River Bank and Fleet Bank/Bank of America. Barcelos received her bachelor’s in Managerial Economics from Bentley University and a Project Management Certificate from UMass Lowell. She contributes to the community as member of the Greater Hampstead Civic Club.
Cline, of Northborough, came to Haverhill Bank in 2022 as vice president & controller. He entered banking more than 30 years ago, holding similar positions at GFA Federal Credit Union, Milford National Bank, Peoples United Bank, and First Trade Union Bank. Cline received his MBA from UMass Boston after his bachelor’s in history from Brandeis University.
Cronin, of Haverhill, joined Haverhill Bank in 2021 as assistant vice president, compliance and BSA. She began her banking career in 2004 with Citizens Bank NA followed by Georgetown Bank and National Grand Bank of Marblehead. Cronin previously was employed for 19 years with Comcast. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Gordon College. She was recently recognized as Exchangite of the Year for her commitments to the Breakfast Exchange Club of Haverhill, serves on the Board of Bradford Christian Academy and is a frequent contributor offering fraud tips to the WHAV’s Win in the Morning’s Community Tips.
Quevillon, of Sandown NH and a Haverhill native, joined Haverhill Bank about 35 years ago, steadily moving up the ranks from customer service, branch manager, operation manager before moving into operations leadership. She attended St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt., and the American Institute of Banking.
White, of Danville NH, came to Haverhill Bank a year ago as Salem NH, branch manager. She was previously employed in several capacities at Pentucket Bank, last serving as Hampstead NH, branch manager; She also held various roles at Kennebunk Savings Bank; and Santander Bank (previously Sovereign Bank & Fleet Bank). She is a graduate of Northern Essex Community College.
