Underwriter, Mortgage

The Underwriter Residential is responsible for credit decisions on incoming applicants consistent with internal and insurer policies, underwriting mortgage commitments, and verifying supporting documentation as submitted by Mortgage Loan Officers. Independently interprets underwriting guidelines and keeps necessary parties informed relative to changes and updates. Responds to inquiries to provide guidance and clarification.  Reviews and underwrites loan applications to include: Conforming, Non-Conforming, Investor loans, and portfolio loans in accordance with guidelines and compliance standards. Senior Commercial Credit Analyst

Support the Commercial loan portfolio working closely with the Commercial Loan Officers. Prepare written loan presentation for new loan requests, renewals and annual reviews. Underwrite loans with respect to the bank’s Loan Policy and underwriting guidelines. Have a thorough understanding of all types of commercial lending transactions. Analyze credit applicants to assess credit worthiness and risk. This position is full-time, 40 hours a week and requires in-person work Monday through Friday.

Operations Associate

The successful candidate will perform various duties related to the maintenance of deposit accounts and works with other members of the department to ensure the functions are handled in a timely manner. Assists branch employees, customer support employees as well as customers over the phone with questions and concerns on a daily basis. Processes Fed Returns and resolution of outstanding items on the Federal Reserve and Eastern Bank. Primary contact for commercial customers with Remote Deposit Capture, ACH Origination and any new Cash Management Services implemented.
