The successful candidate will perform various duties related to the maintenance of deposit accounts and works with other members of the department to ensure the functions are handled in a timely manner. Assists branch employees, customer support employees as well as customers over the phone with questions and concerns on a daily basis. Processes Fed Returns and resolution of outstanding items on the Federal Reserve and Eastern Bank. Primary contact for commercial customers with Remote Deposit Capture, ACH Origination and any new Cash Management Services implemented. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized expertise in the following deposit account areas:
     o ACH Exception Item Processing
     o Unauthorized ACH/ACH Returns
     o Verify ATM/Debit card orders 
     o Monitoring of Remote Deposit Capture and ACH Origination customers and their transactions
• Perform daily Operational tasks, some of which include:
     o Monitor all ACH/Check Stops
     o Monitor Overdraft Privilege Eligibility and Fresh Start Accounts
     o Research for Customers and Subpoenas
     o Reclamations
     o Prenotifications
• Go on site visits with Account Officers to install/train commercial customers with regards to cash management services.
• Responsible for daily reconcilement of Federal Reserve Bank and Eastern Bank statements.
• Provide expertise, as needed, to resolve complex operational and customer issues.
• May act as a backup for ATM/Debit and Internet Banking duties.
• Perform a review of the Overdraft Protection Program for new and closed accounts and monitors aging accounts with follow up phone calls.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations and company policies as stated in Bank’s Code of Conduct.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Job Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years general banking experience
• Must be detail oriented, computer literate; possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact within all levels of the Bank.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.
• Must possess a good work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions with customers.
